About the play

      Two young American tourists end up lost inside an old Russian castle, where madness & mischief reign! As they wind their way deeper into its mysterious corridors, they encounter many eccentric characters— from the hard of hearing drill master chef to sneaky statues to the egomaniac mad scientist and his overzealous hunchback assistant. Will they ever find a way out of Zamok Castle? Or will they be trapped forever?  This funny, yet emotional and heartwarming journey will be a unique and intimate immersive theater experience.  With limited table seating, the audience will feel as if they are inside the castle with the cast! Dessert will be served at intermission. Performances will be April 25-27.

Auditions

  • Actors will sign up for a half hour slot. Upon arrival, wait in waiting area until called upon. Their audition could last 10-30 minutes. They will read alone in the room and then possibly be paired up with others to read.

  • Auditions will be held February 6-8

Rehearsal Schedule

  • Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays from 6:45-9:15 PM, Wednesdays from 4:00-9:15 PM, and Thursdays from 3:30-9:30 PM.  There will potentially be a few Saturday rehearsals, as well.  Not everyone will be required at every rehearsal. Some characters are in one scene. Once casting is completed, the rehearsal schedule will be determined and sent out.  See Sign up Form for details.

  • Mandatory Rehearsals & Performances:

    • April 17 4:00-8:00 PM (Dress/Tech Rehearsal Act 1)

    • April 18 4:00-8:00 PM (Dress/Tech Rehearsal Act 2)

    • April 20 8:30 AM-12:30 PM or 1:00-5:00 PM (Dress Rehearsal)

    • April 23 3:30-7:30 PM (Dress Rehearsal)

    • April 24 3:30-7:30 PM (Dress Rehearsal)

    • April 25 5:30 call time 7:00-8:30 pm performance

    • April 26 5:30 call time 7-8:30 PM performance

    • April 27 12:30 call time 2 & 6 PM performances                            

Fees  

To ensure all expenses are covered in the most affordable way possible, there are several payment options below.  

  • $280 plus fundraise $200 per student ($500 per family max fundraising)

  • $80 due now, plus complete the calendar fundraiser by April 3

  • $480 and no fundraising

Fundraising

  • Fundraising can happen a variety of ways, including recruiting business sponsors. Instructions and sponsorship form will be provided. 

  • Calendar fundraiser is the EASY button to a $200 scholarship and meeting your $200 fundraising requirement.

  • Fundraising money will be due by April 3.
