July 15-19, 2019

Grove City Art & Theatre Camp

$99 per session (half day), $179 both sessions (full day)

Registration for Colorful Creations closes Wednesday, July 10. All other registrations close Friday, July 12.

  • Location: Outta Theatre Studio 109 Blair St. Grove City, PA (2nd floor above Saxony House Furniture)

  • Half day students should bring a snack

  • Full day students should bring 2 snacks and a packed lunch

  • Full day students will have one hour lunch break

  • Full day students may leave between sessions ONLY with parental notification

Refunds

  • Cancellations made before June 15: Tuition is refundable on a case by case basis minus a $20 fee.

  • Cancellations made on/after June 15: Tuition is non-refundable outside of exceptional circumstances.

  • The supply fee is non-refundable.

Kids Theatre: Mad Scientists Return!

  • Ages: 7-12

  • Max Students: 15

  • Supply Fee: $10

Journey to the Mad Science Lab to create fun and unique characters through dramatic games, activities, and storytelling.  We will explore different character voices, walks and gestures, and also create a simple costume for our characters.  Then we will put it all to together for an unforgettable performance at the end of the last class on Friday.


Afternoon Session 12:30-4:00 PM

Colorful Creations

  • Ages: 6-15

  • Max Students: 12

  • Supply Fee: $18

  • Teacher: Shirley Berkey

Students will learn how to design, choose colors, pattern, and learn techniques to create unique works of summer themed art. The projects will include Air Dry Clay, Mosaics, Weaving, Jewelry, Faux Stained Glass, and paper and garden crafts (i.e. flower pot wind chimes, butterfly feeder).  Students should wear old clothes. No glass cutting or sharp tools will be used.


It’s All Fun & Games: Board Game Design

  • Ages: 10-15

  • Max Students: 12

  • Supply Fee: $15

  • Teacher: Josh Ebel

Students will learn the basic elements of creating a board game through studying and playing existing games. They will take what they learned to design and create a prototype of their own original game. Students will have the opportunity play their games and teach others how to play it. A brief history of select games will also be covered (including Nine Man Morris). Time permitting, students may also make a travel friendly Nine Man Morris (or other) game.


August 13-15

Piano Olympics (AM) & Singing OLYMPICS (PM)

$60 per session (half day), $110 both sessions (full day)

Piano Olympics 9 AM-12 PM

  • Ages 6-14

  • Maximum Students: 15

  • Primer Level-Level 3 Intermediate

  • Supply Fee $10

  • Teacher: Angie Settlemire

    Go for the gold! Students must win individual and group challenges that earn points towards prizes.   Through team work and high energy games and activities, Piano Olympics Camp will reinforce and re-energize note reading, rhythms, and other vital music concepts.  

    If students have a portable keyboard, they may be asked to bring it with them.  They will also need to bring a snack each day.  Students from other piano teachers are welcome to attend.  

Singing Olympics 1:00 PM-4:00 PM

  • Ages 8-14

  • Maximum Students: 15

  • Supply Fee $10

  • Teacher: Angie Settlemire (certified in Estill Voice Figure Proficiency)

Calling all soon to be vocal champions! Learn the essentials of how to sing different styles of songs from Disney to folk to Broadway through interactive games, team challenges, & more! Students will discover the functions of the parts of the larynx and mouth and how they impact singing, learn ear training and major scale exercises, and explore how to improve performance quality through movement, gestures, character, and more.
